The Newly Appointed IGP Pays a Courtesy Call

A Guard of Honour was accorded to the newly appointed Inspector General of Police Mr. Mahinda Balasuriya (Bsc, MPhill) at his official visit to Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Headquarters this afternoon (23 November 2009).  

On his arrival, he was received by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Colombo Group Captain Nishantha Dharmadasa. And thereafter he was accorded with a Guard of Honour that was conferred by the Colour Squadron of SLAF which was commanded by Flight Lieutenant Hirantha Herath. Then he went on to pay a courtesy call on the Commander of the Air Force Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke, at his office.
Official plaques were exchanged between the Police chief and Commander SLAF in the Commander’s Office. The visitor also met with the Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff and the Board of Management of SLAF at this occasion.
