The Sri Lanka Air Force Tug of War team emerged Champions at the Tug of War Indoor National   Championship defeating Dehiwala United Sport Club at the Diyagama Mahinda Rajapaksha Indoor Stadium recently.

The sport of Tug of War was officially introduced to the Sri Lanka Air Force in year 2011. Within one year of forming up the SLAF team was able to secure 6th place at the National Tug of War Championship – 2012. Excellence at National level within a short span of time is no doubt of historical significance to Sri Lanka Air Force.

The Vice Chairman of the Tug of War Federation in Sri Lanka Mr. Cristy Fernando graced the occasion as the Chief Guest whilst the Chairman of the Air Force Tug of War Group Captain VP Balasuriya, Officers and Airmen were also participated at the event.
