The Commander Calls on the Commander of the ROK Air Force

The Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy called on General Jeong Kyung-Doo, the Chief of Air Staff of the Republic of Korea yesterday, 14 November 2016.  

On this historic first visit by a Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force to the Republic of Korea, the visiting air chief was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour at the Headquarters of the ROK Air Force at Gyeryong following which the two air chiefs had wide ranging discussions on building stronger ties between the two air forces.  Air Marshal Jayampathy speaking on the occasion emphasised that both Air Forces had much to gain from increased interaction and closer cooperation and expressed his hope that the visit will pave the way for greater interaction between the two Air Forces.
 
The Commander is on an official visit to the Republic of Korea at the invitation of the government of Korea and also met with the Director General for Defence Industry Promotion, Major General Oh Won Jin, and visited a number of key installation in the Defence and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Korea.
