Press Briefing of the Air Symposium 2017

A Press Conference chaired by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy, on the Colombo Air Symposium 2017 organized by the Sri Lanka Air Force was held today (10 October 2017) at the Air Force Headquarters Auditorium.
 
The third instalment of the Colombo Air Symposium, will focus on the theme “Airpower in Addressing Asymmetric Threats”.  Military leaders, technical experts, global think tanks and diplomats representing all regions of the world will come together at Eagles’ Lakeside Banquet and Convention Hall, Attidiya, Colombo on 12th and 13th of October 2017 to share their knowledge and proficiency to build up a unified global airpower to address common challenges imposed by our collective future.
 
The Commander of the Air Force , Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy  speaking to media personnel during a press briefing said that The Colombo Air Symposium is the prominent international event that brings together global expertise on airpower to a common platform that discusses national, regional and global issues of the future marked by common security threats both man made and natural.

Director Training of the SLAF Air Vice Marshal PDKT Jayasinghe, Chairman Air Symposium and Commandant SLAF Academy China Bay Air Commodore HSS Thuiyacontha, Director Media of SLAF Group Captain MDAG Seneviratne,  Secretary Colombo Air Syimposium 2017 Squadron Leader DLA Manage and journalists from the electronic and print media were also present at the occasion.
