Commander's Inspection of Sri Lanka Air Force Station Koggala

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias conducted the Commander's Inspection of Sri Lanka Air Force Station Koggala today (9th August 2019). The Commander was welcomed by the Acting Commanding Officer, Wg Cdr NV Sarath and was accorded a Street Line.
During the course of the inspection, the Commander visited all areas of the Station including the Station Headquarters, 414 Regiment Squadron, Works Section, Station Warrant Officer's Office, Station MI Room, Airmen & Airwomen's Mess, Sports Section, Warrant Officers' & SNCOs' Mess, Eagles’ Catalina Golf Club, Holiday Homes, Main Guard Room. Certificates of Commendation were awarded to following personnel for their meritorious contributions to the Station in particular and to the Air Force in general.

On Conclusion of the Inspection, the Commander addressed all personnel of the Station. During his address he acknowledged the fact that SLAF Station Koggala played a vital role in providing a sense of security and safety to the public of the south. Further, he also appreciated the services provided by this Station to all members of the Air Force and their families as a holiday destination. The Commander also congratulated the Acting Commanding Officer and his staff on a successful Commander’s Inspection and also appreciated the new developments of the Station such as the newly constructed Air Women’s Changing Room and the Air Dog Section Rest Room. Concluding his address he encouraged the members of the Station to continue with their dedication and commitment and to always remember to maintain a very high level of self-discipline as proud members of the Sri Lanka Air Force.
