The Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit in liaison with the Command Agro Unit of Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayaka organized a workshop to inculcate knowledge regarding agriculture and dairy based self-employing opportunities for service personnel and their spouses. This event was held yesterday (26  April 2024) at the ASTRA hall of Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayaka with the graceful participation of the Chairperson of Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa. The prime objective of this programme served to provide self-employment opportunities for participants to bring financial solidarity to their families.

This workshop consisted with 02 sessions. The first session was conducted by Wing Commander Charith Wijerathne regarding horticulture, nursery management and value added ornamental products. Second session included a training programme related to dairy products which was conducted by Squadron Leader Prasanna Rupasinghe. More than 200 service personnel attended this programme.

This event was attended by Senior members of the of Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit including the spouses of Air Force Board of Management, Commanding Officer Sri Lanka Air Force Hospital Base Katunayaka Air Cdre Vasantha Padmaperuma, cross section of Officers and members of the Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit.
