EXPOSITION OF TALENTS AT ‘ENGLISH LANGUAGE PERFORMANCE DAY’ BY NO. 172, 172 B AIRMEN AND NO. 42 AIRWOMEN INTAKES
The ‘English Language Performance Day’ of No.
172, 172 B Airmen and No. 42 Airwomen Intakes Basic Trainees was
conducted on 14 May 2024 at the Main Auditorium at SLAF Trade Training
School Ekala.
After completing their basic combat training, 441 trainees reported to Sri Lanka Air Force Trade Training School Ekala to pursue their Basic Trade Training. Subsequently, they commenced the ‘Basic Intensive English Language Phase’ which consisted of 35 days 06 January 2024 prior to commencing their Trade Training Programmes.
During this 35-day journey, the trainees were groomed and exposed to basic communication skills, aiming to perform the trade-related duties competently and confidently.
During the ‘English Language Performance Day', the trainees showcased what they had learned and gathered during their 30-day Intensive English expedition at Trade Training School, Ekala.
The Director Trade Training and Commanding Officer of SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, Air Commodore Uditha Piyasena graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Senior officers, trade training instructors and trainees of the school were also present at the event.
