SLAF COMBAT TRAINING SCHOOL AT DIYATALAWA CONDUCTS FALL OUT PARADE
The fall out Parade of the No. 66 Intake Officer Cadets and No. 18 Intake Lady Officer Cadets Basic Ground Combat Courses, No. 170 Regular Airmen, No. 40 Regular Airwomen and No. 37 Direct Entry Recruit Courses was held at the SLAF Combat Training School at Diyatalawa yesterday (25 August 2021). The parade was commanded by Wing Commander Nirosha Senadheera, the Officer Commanding Training of the Combat Training School.
The Director Training, Air Vice Marshal HSS Thuyacontha graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Commanding Officer of the SLAF Combat Training School, Air Commodore PSN Fernando, all Officers and Service personnel were also present for the occasion. The parade proceedings were arranged to address the health concerns in the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A total of 62 Officer Cadets from the No. 66 Intake of Officer Cadets and No. 18 Intake Lady Officer Cadets along with 503 Airmen and Airwomen passed out from the Combat Training School yesterday. The Director Training addressed the new entrants during the parade and congratulated them on their successful completion of Basic Combat Training. The Chief Guest stressed out the importance of becoming a member of an illustrious and battle hardened Air Force and shouldering of responsibilities to serve the motherland.
