A special coordinating meeting was held on 04 March 2026 at Air Headquarters between the Director General Constructions Engineering (DGCE), Air Vice Marshal Vajira Senadheera, and the President of the Sri Lanka Air Force Ex-Servicemen’s Association (SLAFESA), Air Vice Marshal Hemantha Soysa (Retd), accompanied by the Secretary, Mr. Kamal Padmakantha.

The discussion focused extensively on the proposed new holiday home project in Diyatalawa, with special attention given to completing the project with modern facilities at a minimal cost. The DGCE explained that his staff is currently redesigning the plan and that the revised proposal will be submitted at an early date.

In addition, important decisions were made regarding the further expansion and modernization of the holiday homes in Kataragama and Anuradhapura.

To mark the occasion, the President of SLAFESA and the DGCE exchanged official plaques.
