A workshop on New Dynamic Approach to Lesson Planning and Syllabus Designing was conducted by the SLAF Trade Training School on the 9th and 10th of September 2020. This special workshop was conducted by Dr. Bimali Indrarathne, Senior Lecturer in Linguistics at the York University in the United Kingdom.

The workshop was conducted with the aim of enhancing the standard of English among SLAF personnel. All officers of the Admin Education Branch and teachers of English in the AF attended the workshop which was said to be extremely enriching for those who attended.
