A Medical Campaign, Eye Clinic and distribution of reading glasses to the extended family members of service & civil employees was carried out at Rifle Green Ground Colombo as a Community Service Project of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit under the patronage of the Commander of Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy and the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Anoma Jayampathy today (29 March 2019). A total of over 350 personnel received medical assistance during the campaign.
Further a Mobile Eye Unit by DS Jayasinghe Opticians rendered their services to the programme on the initiative of the Director Health Services, Air Vice Marshal LR Jayaweera.
Moreover, Medical Officers and staff from Directorate of Health Services, Hospitals from Station Colombo, Base Ratmalana and Trade Training School Ekala participated in the Medical Campaign.
In addition, the Chairperson SVU handed over a wheel chair to the mother of Warrant Officer KDL Karunarathne.
Members of the Air Force Board of Management, Members of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo also participated for the event.
