The SLAF successfully concluded the Final Awarding Ceremony today (26
January 2026) of the ‘Clean Today, Green Tomorrow' environmental
initiative, with the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu
Edirisinghe.
In view of the upcoming 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force,
SLAF Station Iranamadu successfully carried out renovation work on the
library building of Alagapuri Primary School, Kilinochchi.
In line with the novel concept introduced by the Commander of the Air
Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, and the Chairperson of the SLAF
Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe.
A special donation programme was held yesterday (08 January 2026) at
SLAF Headquarters, during which two commode wheelchairs were donated to
the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit by Mrs. Dilma Ranathunga and her family, with
the participation of Mr. Malith Sumanasekara.
A community welfare programme aimed at assisting schoolchildren affected
by the recent floods was successfully conducted by the Seva Vanitha
Unit of the Sri Lanka Air Force Trade Training School (SLAF TTS), Ekala,
yesterday (30 December 2025) at Pahala Madampella Primary School,
Divulapitiya.
A special donation programme was successfully conducted today (30 December 2025) at the St. Joseph’s Girls’ Child Development Centre in Negombo under the guidance of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe.
A house constructed under the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit was handed over to the family of Leading Aircraftsman Amarasiri H today (29 December 2025) and the housewarming ceremony was held at Green Village, Ambepussa.
The Japan–Lanka Friendship Association, supported by its President, Dr. Lal Thilakarathne, and members of the delegation, extended humanitarian assistance by handing over relief items to victims affected by the recent floods today (28 December 2025) at the Air Force Headquarters Seva Vanitha Unit.
The Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe, handed over a commode wheelchair to a deserving family member of Leading Aircraftman Buddhika EA today (28 December 2025) at Air Force Headquarters.
