The Chairperson of Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Mayuri Prabhavi Dias donated an artificial leg to Mrs. PDR Wasantha, wife of Mr. ADH Wimalasuriya (Labourer II) serving at the Directorate of Finance at the Seva Vanitha Unit, Air Force Headquarters Colombo on 11 October 2019.
While half of the cost of the artificial limb amounting to Rs. 225,000.00, was borne by the welfare fund of SLAF, the remainder was donated by Ms. BMW Kannangara, a well-wisher who made a donation on behalf of a number of contributors including her parents, the Rotary Club - Mount Lavinia, Mr. Kelum Gunawardena, Mr. Suresh Fernando and a few others.
Deputy Director Finance, Group Captain TI Fernando coordinated the event.
