The Seva Vanitha Unit of Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo organized a book donation campaign to donate books to under-privileged schools concurring with the International Literacy Day and International Day of Charity. The event was initiated under the guidance and support of the former Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo, Air Commodore Waruna Gunawardana and was completed under the patronage of the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo, Air Vice Marshal CB Labrooy on 04 November 2019.

1195 used and new books were donated to the library of Relapanawa Primary School, Nawagaththegama and 870 books were donated to the library of Rajakeeya Viduhala, Rathnapura.   Serving Personnel of SLAF Station Colombo, Medical Officers of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital Colombo and Asia Foundation contributed to this worthy event.
