The 3rd leg of the “Guwan Mithudam” Project commenced at SLAF Station Mirigama yesterday (16 March 2021). During this programme at Mirigama, 50 Spray Machines were distributed to farmers of the Kitulwala Village and 25 Stationary packs were also distributed among selected students in this village.
Kithulwala is a rural and pastoral village with three Grama Seva Divisions in the Gampaha District. The villagers therein are farmers where most of them are under privileged and undergoing severe hardships. This event was organized under the “Guwan Mithudam Project” of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit in collaboration with SLAF Station Mirigama on a concept of the Chairperson of the SVU, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana to strengthen the needy people residing in close proximity of SLAF Establishments.
The occasion took place at the auditorium of the Sanasa Bank of Kithulwala and the event was graced by the Chairperson, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana. Mrs. Rosy Labrooy the spouse of Director Ground Operations, Group Captain KAPS Kuruwita, Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Mirigama and the President of Seva Vanitha Unit at SLAF Station Mirigama, Mrs. Beenu Maheshika Kuruwita, a cross section of Officers and Other Ranks of SLAF Station Mirigama along with the Staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit witnessed this event.
