The 15th phase of the “Guwan Mithudam” Project was successfully concluded on 11 October 2021 by SLAF Station Bandaranayake International Airport, Katunayake under the guidance of the Chairperson Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs, Charmini Pathirana.
During this project, a set of essential medical equipment was handed over to the Base Hospital at Minuwangoda including Non-Rebreather Masks, Venturi Masks and Oxygen Cylinder Carts.
The event was successfully completed under the supervision of the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station BIA, Air Commodore Shehan Wijayanayake. The Medical Superintendent Dr. Jayantha Abayarathna, Consultant Physcian, Dr Barana Millawithana and Medical Officer Public Health, Dr Piyumi Edirisinghe participated for the occasion where they conveyed their sincere gratitude on behalf of the Hospital Staff by stating the importance of receiving such medical equipment during the prevailing pandemic situation. The event was held with limited number of participants due to COVID-19 restrictions.
