The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit conducted a blood donation campaign yesterday (16 November 2021) at SLAF Base Ratmalana in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Services. The campaign was conducted under the patronage of the Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana together with the assistance of Base Commander of the SLAF Base Ratmalana, Group Captain Asela Jayasekara.
The main aim of this campaign was to make a donation to the National Blood Transfusion Services enabling them to cater for the heavy demand of blood for patients during the prevailing pandemic situation in the country.
Officers, Other Ranks and Civil Staff of SLAF Base Ratmalana participated for the event. This event was conducted adhering to health guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health for the prevention of spreading COVID-19.
