The 24th Phase of “Guwan Mithudam” Project was successfully completed at “Thanniyagam Tamil School” in Borella, yesterday (28 January 2022) by Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo under the patronage of Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana.
Currently 130 students are educating at this school with a total of 9 teachers. The Activity Room and the Play Area of the school were renovated, painted and handed over to the school children.
This project was funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and SLAF Station Colombo. The project was completed under the supervision of the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Colombo, Air Vice Marshal Dilshan Wasage.
President Seva Vanitha Unit at SLAF Station Colombo, Mrs. Janakamali Wasage, a cross section of Officers and Other Ranks of the Station participated to the occasion. The event was held in accordance with health guidelines which have been issued for prevention of COVID-19.
