The 27th phase of “Guwan Mithudam” project was successfully concluded at “Darmapala Bosath Lama Niwasaya” today (09 March 2022) by Sri Lanka Air Force Base Hingurakgoda in parallel to the celebration series of International Women’s Day. The Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

With the intention of enhancing infrastructure facilities and uplifting the living standards of the 43 number of girls who are in the age group of year 05 to 18 at Bosath Balika Lama Niwasaya, the wash room area was fully renovated and the other necessary items such as sanitary items, a water filter and stationery were donated. The surrounding of the premises was also cleaned to create a favorable environment. The event was followed by a lunch for the children who have been accommodated at the Bosath Balika Lama Niwasaya. The project was completed under the supervision of the Base Commander of SLAF Base Hingurakgoda, Group Captain Senaka Kulathunga.

This project was funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and SLAF Base Hingurakgoda. A cross section of officers and other ranks of SLAF Base Hingurakgoda, staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit attended to witness the occasion.
