The 28th phase of “Guwan Mithudam” project was successfully completed at Kadirana Primary School yesterday (22 March 2022) by SLAF Base Katunayake under the guidance of the Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana. During this community project the library building was renovated and handed over to the school children including a donation of required Library Books for Kadirana Primary School.  

Approximately 1000 students receive their education at this school and the students were unable to use the library due to the dilapidated condition of the building during past few years. This building was repainted and renovated with the additions of infrastructure facilities such as installation of electrical fans to create a favourable environment.

This project was funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit in association with SLAF Base Katunayake and all constructions were supervised by the Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Commodore Lasitha Sumanaweera.

The event was attended by President Seva Vanitha Unit at SLAF Base Katunayake, Mrs. Thushanthi Sumanaweera, a cross section of officers and other ranks of SLAF Base Katunayake along with the members of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, teachers and students of the school.
