A new Seva Vanitha Bakery was declared open by Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana, today (16 June 2022) at Sri Lanka Air Force General Service Quarters premises Guwanpura.
The main purpose of this project is to facilitate both service and civil personnel by providing bakery products in concessionary prices at their residential area, considering prevailing situation of the country.
A newly established Ice Cream Parlor was also declared open by the Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit on the invitation of Commanding Officer SLAF Station Colombo, Air Vice Marshal Dilshan Wasage on the same day to entertain Children of all General Service Quarter’s Occupants as well as Pre School /Day Care kids.
The entire project was conducted under the supervision of the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Colombo, Air Vice Marshal Dilshan Wasage. The event was attended by Air Secretary, Group Captain Anuruddha Wijesiriwardena, President Seva Vanitha Unit SLAF Station Colombo, Mrs Janakamali Wasage , Secretary SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Wing Commander Suresh Fernando, a cross section of Officers and Other Ranks of the SLAF Station Colombo along with the Staff of the Seva Vanitha Unit to the occasion.
