The 37th phase of ‘Guwan Mithudam’ project was successfully concluded at the Madithiyawela Primary School, Mirigama today (28 July 2022) by SLAF Station Mirigama. The Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
More than 300 students are educating at this school and both the teachers and students faced numerous difficulties when conducting Seminars, Parents Meetings, Cultural and Recreation activities due to non-availability of a suitable building for the said purposes. The dilapidated buildings were renovated and electrical fans were installed with the intention of developing the infrastructure facilities to provide a suitable space to organize routine and recreational activities at the school. Other necessary items such as sport items, a water filter and stationeries were also donated.
The project was completed under the supervision of the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Mirigama, Group Captain Priyamal Fernando.

This project was funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and SLAF Station Mirigama. A cross section of officers and other ranks at the Station, staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Principal, Teachers and Students of the school attended to the occasion.
