The 49th phase of ‘Guwan Mithudam’ project was successfully concluded at the Ampara Mayadunna Vidyalaya, Gonagolla today (18 January 2023). The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Approximately 200 students are educating at this school and a water consumption project was installed in view of addressing the much felt need of drinking water for their utilization. During this project, school buildings were fully renovated and handed over to the School. Additionally, during the occasion exercise books were donated to the school children.
This project was funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and SLAF Station Ampara. The project was completed under the supervision of the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Ampara, Group Captain Nishantha Priyadarashana. A cross section of officers and other ranks at the Station, Staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Principal, Teachers and Students of the school attended to the occasion.
