The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit organized a programmme to honor the academic achievements of children belonging to Sri Lanka Air Force service personnel and civilians. The event, which took place today (30 March 2023), at the Air Force Headquarters Auditorium, aimed to recognize the outstanding performance of students who excelled in the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2022.
The ceremony was graced by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, as the Chief Guest and hosted by the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana.
A total of 339 students who successfully accomplished the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2022 were awarded scholarships during the event. In addition, 30 students who achieved the highest marks were honored by the Seva Vanitha Unit. These students were presented with financial grants and stationery items as a symbolic gesture of appreciation for their exceptional performance.
The Commander and the Chairperson congratulated and expressed their best wishes to students who performed well in their examinations during the ceremony. Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff, Members of the Air Force Board of Management, Commanding Officer Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo, Air Secretary, Secretary Seva Vanitha Unit, as well as the staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and Parents of the Students were also present at the ceremony.
