The 56th phase of the 'Guwan Mithudam' project was successfully concluded yesterday (15 June 2023) at Wathawana Primary School, Imaduwa, by SLAF Station Koggala, under the guidance of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana.
Approximately 126 students are educated at this school, where a drinking water system is installed in view of addressing the much-felt need for drinking water for their consumption and other purposes. During this project, a water well was excavated and a water pump was fixed to distribute the water through a tap line by placing a storage tank. After the completion of the project, it was handed over to the students by the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Koggala, Group Captain Thilina Rajapksha.
The project was funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and SLAF Station Koggala. The ceremony was attended by a cross-section of Officers and other ranks of SLAF Station Koggala, the principal, teachers and students of the school.
