A house constructed under the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit was handed over to Flight Sergeant Indrathilaka DWGR today (02 August 2023) and the house warming ceremony was held at Dadigamuwa, Kaduwela. The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

During the ceremony, a wheel chair was gifted by a well-wisher and donated to the elder child of Flight Sergeant Indrathilaka DWGR, who has special needs.

The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit funded this project, while the construction work was undertaken by the dedicated staff of the Civil Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake. This project was executed under the guidance of the Director General Construction Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Udula Wijesinghe and supervised by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo, Air Commodore Suresh Fernando.

The event was attended by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo, the President of the Seva Vanitha Unit of SLAF Station Colombo, Mrs. Shanika Fernando, as well as the staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and a cross-section of officers and other ranks of SLAF Station Colombo.
