The 61st phase of the Guwan Mithudam project has been successfully concluded yesterday (11 August 2023) at Yatiyalpathana Primary School, Hingurakgoda, under the guidance of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, to enhance educational environments.
Recognizing the pivotal needs of Yatiyalpathana Primary School, the project took on the ambitious task of revitalizing the main hall, library and garden. This initiative aimed to provide the students with an enriched and vibrant space for their learning journey. The project's commencement in April 2023 marked the beginning of a transformative process that would leave a lasting impact on the school's infrastructure.
After completion, it was handed over to deserving students by the Base Commander of SLAF Base Hingurakgoda, Group Captain Sameera Gunawardane. The success of this project was made possible through the combined financial support of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and SLAF Base Hingurakgoda.
The Officer In Charge of the Seva Vanitha Unit at SLAF Base Hingurakgida, along with officers and other ranks, the school Principal, teachers and students, attended the occasion. This project not only rejuvenates physical spaces but also embodies the spirit of collaboration and shared responsibility for educational development.
