The Guwan Mithudam Community Service Project, organized by the Seva Vanitha Unit of Sri Lanka Air Force Base Hingurakgoda, successfully concluded on 15 August 2024 at Siriketha Primary School. The event was graced by the Acting Base Commander, Group Captain MMA Mendis as the Chief Guest and officially handed over the newly renovated ablution block to the Vice Principal of Siriketha Primary School, Hingurakgoda.
The project was executed under the guidance of the Base Commander of SLAF Base Hingurakgoda, Air Commodore Dinesh Jayaweera and was coordinated by the Officer In-Charge of Works, Squadron Leader Prabhath Weerasundara. The Seva Vanitha Unit at Air Force Headquarters fully funded the initiative, with labour assistance provided by SLAF Base Hingurakgoda.
The ceremony was attended by officers, other rankers and representatives from the school community, including the Vice Principal, teachers, parents and students.
