House-warming ceremonies of 02 houses constructed under full house construction projects were conducted yesterday (06 November 2024) with the graceful participation of the Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa.

One house was handed over to Flight Sergeant Rajapaksha RHMJ (Computer Technician) and the house-warming ceremony was held at Oruthota, Gampaha. The second house was handed over to Warrant Officer Kumara WMR (Operator Motor Transport) and the house-warming ceremony was held at Wadumulla, Dewalapola.

The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit funded this project, while the construction work was undertaken by the dedicated staff of the Civil Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake. This project was executed under the guidance of the Director General Construction Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Chandana Geethapriya and supervised by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, Air Commodore Uditha Piyasena.

The event was attended by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, Air Commodore Uditha Piyasena, President Seva Vanitha of SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, Mrs. Prasanthika Gayani, the staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and a cross-section of officers and other rankers of SLAF Trade Training School Ekala.
