A house constructed under the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit was handed over to the family of Sergeant Jayasekara MHMHC toady (23 January 2025) and the House Warming Ceremony was held at Idamagama, Ella, Badulla. The Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit funded this project, while the construction work was undertaken by the dedicated staff of the Civil Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake. This project was executed under the guidance of the Director General Construction Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Chandana Geethapriya and supervised by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa, Air Commodore Hiyumal Dharmadasa.
The event was attended by the Director Internal & Public Welfare at the Directorate of Welfare, Air Commodore Buddhika Piyasiri, Commanding Officer of SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa, the staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and a cross-section of officers and other rankers of SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa.
