The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit conducted a “Kapruk Pooja” invoking blessings for the SLAF in parallel with the celebration of its 74th Anniversary. This religious event was held today evening (11 March 2025) at the sacred Ruwanweliseya under the auspices of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, and the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe.
Meanwhile, another procession of religious ceremonies took place along with a 'Gilanpasa Pooja' which was also held at the Ruwanweliseya on the same evening.
The Kapruk Pooja was followed by a Dharma Sermon delivered by the deputy head of the Maha Vihara Piriven, Venerable Kudagalawewa Ghanawimala Thero.
A Milk Coffee Dansela was also organized by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit with the assistance and support of SLAF Base Anuradhapura at Ruwanweliseya premises to provide much relief for those who pilgrim to Anuradhapura.
