Another phase of the ‘Guwan Mithudam’ Community Service Project, organized by the Seva Vanitha Unit of SLAF Base Vavuniya, was successfully completed with the renovation of two washroom complexes and the painting of a building for the students and staff of Gunananda Primary School in Vavuniya.
The project was carried out under the supervision of the Base Commander SLAF Base Vavuniya and the official handing-over ceremony was held yesterday (22 August 2025) at the school premises. The event was graced by the Base Commander, Air Commodore Asela Kuruwita.
The event was attended by a cross-section of officers, other rankers, as well as the principal, teachers, and students of the school.
The coordination and execution of the project were undertaken by the Seva Vanitha Unit of SLAF Base Vavuniya, with the support and commitment of the Base’s Works Section, ensuring the timely and successful completion of the initiative.
