A ‘Guwan Mithudam’ Project concluded yesterday (16 October 2025) at Kiralagolla Primary School, carried out by SLAF Station Sigiriya. The project was initiated under the guidance of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe.
The initiative focused on renovating and improving the school’s washroom and sanitation facilities. Kiralagolla Primary School accommodates approximately 350 students and the existing facilities had deteriorated due to prolonged use. The project was successfully completed under the supervision of the President of the Seva Vanitha Unit at SLAF Station Sigiriya, Mrs. Sandya Premawardana, with the guidance and facilitation of the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Sigiriya, Group Captain SV Premawardana.
Financial assistance for the project was jointly provided by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and SLAF Station Sigiriya. The concluding ceremony was attended by a cross-section of officers, other ranks and representatives from the school, including the Principal, teachers, parents and students.
