A special donation of 10 wheelchairs was held on 27 November 2025 for the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit by Venerable Chao Chu Thero (President of Los Angeles Buddhist Union and Bosath Children’s Educational Foundation; Vice President of World Buddhist Sangha Council, World Fellowship of Buddhists, World Chinese Buddhist Sangha Congress, Interreligious Council of Southern California and Adviser of International Association of Buddhist Universities and executive council member of International Council of Day of Vesak and Co-Chair of Buddhist–Catholic Dialogue) and in attendance of Mrs. Samantha Sumathipala and family. The event was held at Air Force Headquarters, with the graceful participation of the Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishnathi Edirisinghe.

Further, two wheelchairs were handed over to two deserving service personnel, Corporal Premachandra PI and Leading Aircraftsman Abeywardana AAN, for the use of their needy parents.

The event was attended by the Secretary of the Seva Vanitha Unit, Wing Commander Lilangi Randeni, Officers and other ranks of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit.
