A house constructed under the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit was handed over to the family of Corporal Prasad Kumara RWAA today (24 March 2026) and the housewarming ceremony was held at Kadangama - Kadugannawa.
The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, marking another meaningful step in the Unit’s ongoing commitment to uplifting the living standards of SLAF personnel and civil staff.
The project was fully funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, while construction was carried out by the Civil Engineering Wing of SLAF Base Katunayake. The initiative was implemented under the guidance of the Director General Constructions Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Vajira Senadheera and supervised by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Disaster Management Training School, Group Captain Lakmal Jayathilake. The event was attended by the Director Ranaviru Welfare, Group Captain Dayan Sumanasekara, Commanding Officer of SLAF Disaster Management Training School (DMTS), President Seva Vanitha Unit SLAF DMTS Digana, Secretary of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Wing Commander Lilangi Randeni along with members of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, officers and other ranks of SLAF DMTS Digana.
