JUNIOR COMMAND & STAFF COLLEGE AT SLAF ACADEMY CHINA BAY CELEBRATES 25TH ANNIVERSARY
Junior Command & Staff College at SLAF Academy China Bay celebrated its 25th anniversary on 04 March 2024. A series of community service projects were undertaken with the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain VRS Vidanapathirana, in line with the anniversary celebration. A ‘Shramadhana Campaign’ was conducted at ‘Rewatha’ children’s orphanage in Trincomalee on 02 March 2024 and a ‘stationery donation’ at the same premises on 04 March 2024. Moreover, tree planting was also undertaken at the college premises to mark the Silver Jubilee of the JC&SC.
The anniversary day celebration culminated with a sports and entertainment event at the Academy sports ground together with the Sports Carnival of the 75th Junior Command & Staff Course in the presence of the acting Commandant of the SLAF Academy China Bay as the chief guest. Further, all officers, other ranks and civil staff participated in the events.
