SNIPER BADGE

Eligibility: Awarded to Officers and Airmen on successful completion of Standard Sniper Course conducted by a recognized SLAF, local or foreign Sniper Training Institute.

PILOT BADGE

Eligibility: Should have successfully completed both Basic and Advanced Flying Training conducted by the SLAF or have successfully completed both Basic and Advanced Flying Training conducted by a military academy abroad.

EOD (EXPLOSIVES ORDINANCE DISPOSAL) BADGE

Eligibility: Awarded to Officers and Airmen on successful completion of the Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Course conducted by the SLAF or have successfully completed an EOD course conducted by a recognized local/foreign institute.institute abroad / locally .

QUALIFIED DRILL INSTRUCTOR BADGE

Eligibility: Awarded to Officers and Airmen on successful completion of Qualified Drill Instructor (QDI) Course conducted by the SLAF.

BADGE FOR THE CBRNE FIRST RESPONDERS

Eligibility: Awarded to Officers and Airmen on successful completion of Basic and Advanced CBRNE Courses conducted by the SLAF.

NURSING BADGE

Eligibility: Awarded to Officers and Airmen on successful completion of Basic and Advanced CBRNE Courses conducted by the SLAF.

QUALIFIED DENTAL TECHNICIAN BADGE

Eligibility: Should have successfully completed the Dental Technicians Course at Dental Auxiliary Training School at University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.

QUALIFIED DENTAL ASSISTANT BADGE

Eligibility: Should have successfully completed the Dental Assistants Course at Dental Auxiliary Training School at University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.

QSTAFF QUALIFIED INSTRUCTOR BADGE

Eligibility: All Officers who have successfully completed and obtained ‘Pass Staff College’ status from a recognized Defence Services/Army/Navy/Air Force Staff College in Sri Lanka or abroad and have completed minimum of one year instructional tenure as Directing Staff at the Defence Services Command and Staff College are entitled to wear this prestigious insignia.

Eligibility: Dental Assistant who has followed local or foreign Dental Assistant course at the recognized training institute.

DENTAL ASSISTANT BADGE

Eligibility: Dental Technician who has followed local or foreign Dental Technician course at the recognized training institute. .

AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE OFFICER BADGE

Eligibility: Technical engineering officers who have successfully completed the Aircraft Maintenance Officer Course (AMOC) in USAF are awarded the above badge and the relevant certificate.
