SLAF Celebrates 61 Years of Service

The 61st Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force, which fell on 2 March, 2012, was celebrated throughout SLAF establishments Islandwide with the participation of SLAF personnel taking part in various events held at their respective SLAF establishments.
Celebrations began with religious observances while working parades were held on the day of the anniversary. Sramadhana campaigns, soical service programmes and many more welfare projects were conducted in lieu of the anniversary celebrations which marks over six decades of service excellence in the motherland by the Sri Lanka Air Force.
The Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama took part in the celebrations held at SLAF Station Colombo.
