Religious Harmony of SLAF Showcased with Multi Religious Shrine

Entering the history books, SLAF Trade
Training School declares open the first Multi Religious Shrine allowing
SLAF personnel of all faiths to observe religious practices
respectively.
The Opening
Ceremonies we initiated by a procession lead by religious leaders of
all four main religions followed by religious icons and SLAF personnel.
Commanding Officer of SLAF TTS Ekala attended the ceremonies as Chief
Guest.
Conceptualised by
the Commanding Officer of SLAF TTS Ekala Group Captain LD Gunawardena under the guidance of the Commander of the Air Force, the multi religious
shrine was constructed by SLAF Personnel with the support of local
religious leaders.
In a
typical calendar year, The SLAF Trade Training School conducts training
activities for approximately 1200 trainees of all religious backgrounds.
The shrine facilitates these trainees to observe their religious
activities with the respect due in a beautiful and accessible
environment.
It is also
noteworthy to mention that the cost for this shrine was fully born by
the donors and well wishers from the local community, organizations and
the TTS Ekala itself.
