The Defence services Volleyball Men’s and Women’s championships were worked out at the Maharagama Youth Center, this morning (09 November 2009). Surprisingly both final matches were between the Sri Lanka Air Force and Sri Lanka Navy teams who are reputed as strong teams in the country.

However in the women’s final the SLAF team beat the Navy team 25-05, 25-17 and 25-12 respectively. In the Men’s finals too the SLAF team beat the Navy SC 20-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-18 and 15-11 respectivly.
