'Eagles Lagoon View' declared open by the President

'Eagles Lagoon View' Banquet Hall at Katunayake was declared open by HE the President, Mahinda Rajapaksa on 02 March 2013 on the invitation of the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal HD Abeywickrama.
This banquet hall which encompasses a total area of 23,000 sq feet comprises a 9,000 sq feet banquet hall, a bridal dressing room, a studio, four dual occupancy rooms and two large changing rooms for artistes. In addition, the complex boasts of a wide verandah and a large landscaped garden which rolls down to the Negombo lagoon. This facility enables service personnel to hold weddings and other functions at a fraction of the cost of hotels which offer similar facilities. The Banquet Hall will also be available for booking by the general public.
The Secretary Defence Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, the Commander of the Army Lt Gen Jagath Jayasuriya, the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage, several ministers, Members of the AFBM, senior officers and the Chairperson of the Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs Neelika Abeywickrama were also present at the opening.
