A ceremony was organized to felicitate the students of the Primary School Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake who passed the Scholarship Examination in the Negombo Educational Zone for year 2013. The Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Commodore SK Pathirana congratulated and expressed his best wishes to students who succeeded in the Grade Five Scholarship examination in 2013 at the school premises on 10 October 2013.

Sammu Methum Sanjeewa (171), Supun Akalanka Rathnayale (168), Thimani Chmudika Dahanayake (169) and Kavindu Sanjeeth (161) were awarded valuable prizes by the Base Commander for winning the scholarships. The rest of the students were also lauded for bringing honour to the school. The principle of the school Mr. SI Satharasinghe and the staff were also appreciated by the Base Commander for the valuable contribution made towards achieving this standard.
