Under the Guidance of the Commanding Officer SLAF Combat Training School  Vanni Wing Commander SN Fernandopulle, a sacred Bo-sapling from the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi was planted at the temple of the Combat Training School  on 8th January 2014.

Coinciding with the sacred Bo-sapling planting ceremony, a religious ceremony was also held at the SLAF Combat Training School  Vanni on the same day to invoke blessings on the fallen heroes, the Commander of the Air Force and all serving members of the SLAF, their families and for the country.

All service personnel and their family members, and the people in the vicinity of the Combat Training school area were also present at the event.
