The Annual Air Force Christian Memorial Service in memory of all servicemen who made the supreme sacrifice was held at the St. Theresa's Church, Thimbirigasyaya, at 1630 hrs on 5 June 2014 with the participation of the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilake.

During the ceremony Flags representation all formations and units of the SLAF were marched up to the alter and blessings were invoked on the flags and the establishments that they represented a containing all the name of who sacrificed their lives in the time of duty was also offered and consecrated.

The main denominational celebrants also in deed blessings on the commander and all members of the SLAF so that they merry be empowered to serve the nation with dedication and commitment.
