The second and third consecutive Dengue prevention programmes in assistance to the campaign launched by the Presidential Task Force, were organized by SLAF Base Katunayake under the supervision of the Base Commander Air Commodore SK Pathirana on the direction of AFHQ.

This programme was conducted in the Gampaha District from 3rd to 10th July 2014.

Approximately 400 airmen and airwomen inspected over 40,000 residential locations in Wattala, Mahara, Minuwangoda, Gampaha Biyagama, Katana, Seeduwa, Ja Ela, Ragama, Kelaniya and Attanagalla areas during this programme. The endeavor was appreciated by all residents, medical authorities and other dignitaries in the area.
