The 32nd ‘Base Day’ celebrations began with a parade held at the Base parade square SLAF Base Anuradhapura on 11th November 2014. The Acting Base Commander Wing Commander RP Koddipily addressed the Officers, all other ranks, civilian staff and briefed the history of the Base, contributions to the humanitarian operation, future challenges and responsibilities towards the role and task of the SLAF.

Coinciding with the Base Formation day celebrations, an all ranks lunch was organized at the Base sports ground after sports activities.  A ''Shramadana''programme at the Riyanzi Alagiyawanna Deaf and Blind School at Anuradhapura, an eye clinic and medical screening programme at “Shanthi Sevana” state home for elders at Anuradhapura were also conducted with the participation of Officers and all other ranks and the civilian staff of the Base.
