SLAF Welcomes the New Year

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke addressed the Air Force Board of Management, Officers, other ranks and civilian staff of AFHQ and Station Cbo this morning (1st January 2015) at Air Force Head Quarters premises.
In his message the Commander commended the hard work put in by each and every person in the organization towards success in the previous year and emphasized the need to corporate further and build upon progress achieved in the coming year.
The Commander highlighted the development of the country after era of eradication of terrorism from the mother land. He stressed the importance of understanding the threats that the country may face in the present and the future.
A multi religious ceremony was also held to invoke blessings on the SLAF and its personnel.
