An all-night Pirith Chanting Ceremony followed by an almsgiving was held at SLAF TTS Ekala on 16th and 17th January 2015, under the guidance of the Commanding Officer Group Captain TADR Senanayaka.

A colorful procession was organized along with traditional dances and other cultural items by the service personnel and the trainees to accompany the religious relics and the Buddhist monks to the Pirith Ceremony. Thereafter alms were offered to Buddhist monks on the following day. The commanding officer, and Officer Commanding Training, all officers and all service personnel of the camp participated in the event.
