The Annual Pirith Chanting and Alms Giving ceremony was held at the Academy Premises on 13 and 14 March 2015 under the patronage of the Commandant SLAF Academy China Bay, Air Commodore Sagara Kotakadeniya.

Religious activities of the Pirith Chanting and the Alms Giving ceremony were conducted by most Ven. Dehiowita Piyathissa Thero, The chief Sanganayake of North Eastern and Saman Kaduwa and Chief  incumbent of “Sri Bohdhirajarama” Temple China Bay.

The ceremony was made colourful with a pageant at the commencement and blessings were invoked for the Commander of the Air Force, those who laid down their lives for the motherland, those wounded in action, all serving personnel of SLAF, ex-servicemen and for the betterment and future endeavours of the Sri Lanka Air Force.
