The certificate awarding ceremony of No. 62 Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Course was held at Ground Training Wing Auditorium of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay on 06th July 2015. Air Commodore JP Wanigathunga, the Commanding Officer of the Junior Command and Staff College Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest.

    Air Commodore HMSKB Kotakadeniya, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay also witnessed the event.  

    The primary objective of conducting this Course is to impart a sound academic and managerial knowledge while sharpening leadership qualities within Non Commissioned Officers of the SLAF. The Course runs through a well-formed syllabus over a scheduled period of 11 weeks. The comprehensive Course is affiliated to the University of Rajarata and all Non Commissioned Officers who fulfil the required criteria will be awarded with a Certificate in Management. The 62nd Batch comprised of 42 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of SLAF, 41 Junior Non Commissioned Officers of SLAF, 02 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of SL Army, and 02 Chief Petty Officers of SL Navy. Certificates were awarded to 83 Non Commissioned Officers on the successful completion of the course.

    21816 Sergeant Thusharalal DGN (Electrician) was placed as the best all-round Senior Non Commissioned Officer while 27209 Corporal Dulwala DGADK (Aero Eng) was placed as the best all-round Junior Non Commissioned Officer. Other special award winners are as follows.
